Losing someone is one of the most stressful and upsetting events in our lives. Peter Haigh and Sons are here to help and support you at a time when you need it the most.

We have over forty years experience in the funeral profession, Peter and Julie met when they were both working for John Heath and Sons funeral directors. Peter has also been the funeral manager at G and M Lunt funeral directors and Eric Eyre Funeral directors. He has a vast knowledge of funeral procedures and has dealt with many many local families over the years with empathy and professionalism.

Peter is a qualified funeral director and holds his diploma. He is also a vocational assessor and is a past Governor for the British Institute of Funeral Directors.

Julie worked for Sheffield City Council in the Council tax and housing benefit department so has knowledge of the benefit system and can also help if you wish to claim the funeral expenses payment, or bereavement support allowance - depending on your personal circumstances.

We are Accredited Funeral Directors for the Infant Loss Foundation. Julie has completed the course in Infant loss and how to support families who have lost babies, children and adolescents.

Our experienced family team will guide you through the arrangements at a time and pace to suit you and your situation.
